This jacket is soft lambskin. There is no break in period. Love the details and the lining. I have received compliments every time I've worn it. I ordered to my chest measurement (40"), though I am small every where else (5'3" tall,127 lbs, 25" waist, 37" hip). Size XL/12. I was delighted to find that it was not too large through the hips and waist. Size up Ladies!
